Artist at Work

April 30, 2017 by riasharon

Day 12 Artist at work. As I struggle through this project, I am reminded by @alicia_lachance_ and @oncefilms that making art isn't always easy or fun. Not only is there the required hours and hours that one must devote to the craft, but there's also wrestling with the work that's in the process of becoming. Delight and joy are often reserved for after, or for the audience. But they can't be my barometers for whether to keep going with something. So, onward…. . #100DaysofUnfinishedStories #the100dayproject #makearteveryday #artistatwork #artistslife #artistsway #riasharonart #inthestudio #stlouisartist

A little about me

I have an undergraduate degree in art. By day, I work in higher ed and in my free time I'm currently putting myself through DIY grad school.

I teach classes on creativity and inspiration on Skillshare. I occasionally share my original paintings on Etsy and fine art prints on Minted. I've also been known to make puppy portraits.
